Your role at Signature

In your new role as an Event Manager at Signature, you’ll be responsible for the events and activities enjoyed by all of our residents every week, month and quarter. You’ll maintain a balanced programme for both our assisted living and dementia communities, delivering activities that are vibrant, engaging and, most importantly, great fun!

You’ll work closely with activities and events colleagues in our homes to ensure each event or activity is delivered according to the plan, often attending events and gathering feedback from residents, before coming up with a programme that is inclusive and best-in-class. This includes working with the Head of Dementia to ensure all events are fit for purpose.

As well as supporting your colleagues and ensuring they have the right tools and supplies for the events and activities programme, you’ll also work closely with suppliers to ensure quality and value for money.

On top of this, you’ll keep track of new and exciting ideas and encourage social media interaction within our communities, as well as ensuring quarterly and seasonal events gain great exposure.

Signature People

You’ll be an excellent planner who can self-organise and prioritise workloads. You’ll be a flexible multi-tasker with attention to detail and an enthusiastic approach to change and challenges.

Relevant experience or a qualification is beneficial, but we’re more interested in meticulous planners who know how to create and deliver first-rate events that bring our communities together. Ideally, you’ll have worked within the care industry and any previous experience of working in a dementia environment is advantageous.

You’ll have excellent attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a flexible, adaptable approach that is people-driven.

You’ll also bring great knowledge of the local events market and an understanding of standards, policies and procedures in the hotel and care industry.
