Your role at Signature

As a Support Worker Supervisor you will manage a small team of Support Workers within the Care Support Team who provide support, information and guidance to people living with dementia — helping to maintain their independence and improve their sense of well-being.

Whilst daily duties will involve assisting residents with tasks including washing, dressing, eating, drinking and supporting them with their mobility, you will also provide support to the Care Support Team with medication administration, liaising with the residents’ families for any supplies they may need, accompanying residents to places of interest in the community, and develop personal care plans tailored to each resident.

Overseeing the Support Workers, you will work with Care Managers to complete audits, ensure the safe storage of equipment, assist in the support and development of team members, and deal with any necessary supervisory issues.

You’ll be an excellent communicator with strong written and verbal skills, and confident in providing a high-level of customer service. You will have experience in team management and demonstrate the ability to work under pressure. Due to the nature of the role, we are looking for someone who can be flexible in their approach to working hours, who can be accountable, resilient and demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to participate in all areas of the role — from activities to training and development.

In order to be considered, previous experience working in dementia care is necessary and you will need a minimum of NVQ Level 2 /3 or equivalent, as well as a recognised medication administration qualification and experience.
