Here are answers to common questions about applying for a role with Signature Careers. The recruitment process can vary by role, home and seniority, so the information below is intended as general guidance.

The recruitment process will vary depending on the role you have applied for. Typically, the process includes an initial telephone interview followed by a competency-based interview at one of our homes. For more senior positions, there may also be a second-stage interview.
If you are applying for a Chef position, you will also be invited to attend a trade test at the home, where you will prepare dishes for the team as part of the assessment process.

Once your pre-employment checks have been successfully completed, you will be required to attend the next available induction programme. The induction is a mandatory part of your onboarding and will last a minimum of three days.
Training will be delivered by members of the management team as well as external training providers. You will also be required to complete mandatory e-learning modules through our Learning Management System.

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer sponsorship. We can therefore only consider applications from candidates who already have the right to work in the UK. Please note that we are also unable to support in-country transfers for Certificates of Sponsorship.

At present, we do not offer relocation assistance. As part of our duty of care to both residents and team members, we recommend that candidates consider whether the commute is sustainable, ideally no longer than 45 minutes each way depending on the mode of transport.

We recommend attending your interview in smart professional attire. Please avoid wearing jeans, trainers, or overly casual clothing.

Working hours and shift patterns will depend on the role, your availability, and the needs of the home at the time of your application.
As our homes operate 24 hours a day, Care and Nursing roles will typically involve either day or night shifts. There is also an expectation for team members in Care, Nursing, and Hospitality roles to work alternate weekends.

We aim to provide rotas at least two weeks in advance wherever possible, although this may vary depending on operational requirements.
