Your role at Signature
Our Hospitality Assistants understand and thrive on their purpose. They help us to deliver amazing experiences for our residents and go the extra mile in providing a great dining experience for our residents.
You will deliver restaurant quality service to our residents with a smile. You’ll welcome residents in, explain menu choices in a clear, concise way, serve food from the kitchen and take pride in keeping the dining room spotlessly clean. Your role will also support dining operations or food & beverage service in other areas such as the cafe area.
You’ll take dealing with complaints in your stride, ensuring the resident feels listened to and understood, and making sure the supervisor is informed of any issues quickly, in a calm and polite manner.
You will also at times be assisting chefs with food preparation, and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy.
You’ll develop an awareness of special dietary requirements, including the dementia dining experience, to assist the chefs in meeting these needs.
You’ll be building relationships with residents, championing their experience, taking on board their feedback and managing their expectations. You’ll take the lead in resolving complaints and investigating incidents and drive resolutions that everyone is happy with.

As well as your dedication and great communications skills, you’ll have experience of providing fantastic customer service, ideally within healthcare, restaurants or hotels. Industry-relevant qualifications and local market knowledge are also advantageous.
We are delighted to announce that from 1 January 2022, our hourly paid colleagues will receive 25 days (plus 8 days bank holiday) — growing with length of service up to 30 days holiday.
