    • Check your technology is connected to a secure internet connection
    • Make sure your device is fully charged
    • Ensure you are in a quiet and private environment (avoiding potential interruptions)
    • Check the camera is fully working and you are comfortable
    • Have a backup plan in case your device encounters any issues, including having the interviewer's contact details

  • Top tips

    • Look at the camera, not the screen – making eye contact can help give you a confidence boost throughout the interview

    • No distractions throughout the interview – ensure you are fully focused on the interviewer

    • Notes – having some bullet points or notes to help you keep on track

    • Questions – writing down any questions you may have before the interview so you can ensure to get the most out of it

    • Body language – although you are not in the same room, this still remains very important. TIP: use a pen to help keep your hands still

  • Top tips

    • Be on time and NEVER late – make sure you have checked the journey and allowed yourself plenty of travel time
    • Greeting – Have a firm handshake, this speaks volumes about your personality and contributes to the important first impression
    • Smile – Speak clearly and try to engage and be enthusiastic and confident with what you are delivering
